Why have you changed to whitespectre corp?
We wanted to support the growth and global expansion of the whitespectre brand, driven by an internationally distributed team. The incorporation of whitespectre corp provides the vehicle to do this. All prior whitespectre clients will now be supported and managed by whitespectre corp.
How does the change to whitespectre corp impact whitespectre clients?
The most visible change will be the new invoicing system that will make your account clearer and easier to manage. All payments must be made via credit card or bank transfer; cheques are not supported. Details are included within invoices.
What other benefits will I see from the new whitespectre corp?
It means that you are being supported by a larger corporation, providing a more responsive, and even more efficient service whilst still maintaining the core values: personal understanding, enterprise service.
How do I set up POP3 mailboxes on my domain?
You configure you mail by going to http://mail.yourdomain.com/admin and logging in with:-
username: admin@yourdomain.com
password: account password (supplied in your welcome email)
From here, you can set up your pop boxes as you like, each with their own passwords. For example you may choose "bob@yourdomain.com" and password "mypassword3".
How do I access my POP3 mailbox from my own computer's mail client?
To access bob@yourdomain.com from a mail client on your computer (e.g. outlook), you need to configure it using the following details (from example above):-
username: bob@yourdomain.com
password: mypassword3
server: www.yourdomain.com
How do I access my mail from the web?
You can use our web-based email client to access your email from anywhere. To access webmail, you would go to: http://mail.yourdomain.com/ and login using (from example above):-
username: bob@mydomain.com
password: mypassword3
How do I set up outgoing mail?
You can use authenticated smtp using the same credentials as you use to get your mail via pop. Be sure to use password authentication when setting up the smtp server.
FTP
How do I get files onto my website?
File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is the most commonly used and popular way to publish your web site into your hosting account.
hostname: www.yourdomain.com
username: account username (supplied in your welcome email)
password: account password (supplied in your welcome email)
directory: public_html
Note: if your domain is still in the process of transferring, you will need to use the hostname of the server your account is hosted on, as stated in your welcome email.
